A Ghouly Gamble (formerly Not-So-Nice-Dice)
You play Not-So-Nice-Dice, a loaded dice who is frustrated and trapped in their new job. One day they smell a chance to screw over the Ghouly Gamblers at a family-friendly board game. ๐ฒ ๐น
The game was a submission for the GMTK GameJam 2022 following the theme "Roll of the dice". It even made a short appearance in the video by Mark Brown.
How to win?
Each monster has their individual 'Rage-O-Meter' that gets filled whenever something bad happens to their game play ... Your goal is to strategically manipulate the game, so that one of the monsters rage-quit. But be aware of ๐ the authorities that are watching you.

I'd love to see you expand this. It is an incredible idea that has even more potential (eg. different board games, maybe even rigging a deck of cards at one point, different difficulty options and more.
Thanks for the kind words :)
I think so too! In hindsight maybe more interactive gameplay and less number counting but it could be explored more.
Fun idea and well executed, but the game is rather short
Thanks for the praise!
The game was a submission for a 48(-ish) hour game jam, otherwise we would have loved to make it longer :)
Hey Guys, if you liked the Soundtrack of the Game, you can find it here:
Greetings!:)
You can still win after getting caught if you make monster quit and got caught in the same roll
Also easy strategy is to keep 2 of the players rolling 1 at the start so they go back to start and become angry (you can almost always get 1)
Thanks for sharing your strategies! (Would be interesting to think of a system to combat this, maybe suspicion rises more quickly if a behaviour repeats)
It's a good idea, and you don't even need to raise it that much more, it's close to being caught before wining
Hi guys! I am so glad that you have found each other as a team! The game what you have brought out in the short time has become great! I love the illus and the music in the background also fits awesome!!! Storyline is super fun, even if I have not yet figured out how I can actually win... 10/10
Thank you so much for your kind words <3 Next time we will join teams โ it will be a lot of fun!
Thanks Lelefee :) next time with you in the team!
PS: You can win the game if you bring one of the monsters to rage and freak out before the monsters finish the race.
Very fun game. Also quite sad and depressing. But fun mostly!
Ohh :< is there something we could have done to it to feel less โน?
One day you will win the race my friend. And the monsters had a good drink and party afterwards - promise.
Also - thanks for playing. :)
